Final List of Voters for National Assembly Election Released: 549 Voters from Province Assemblies, 1,498 from Local Levels

Kathmandu: The Election Commission (EC) has officially unveiled the final list of voters for the upcoming National Assembly (NA) election. In a press release issued on Sunday, the EC informed the public that the final voter lists were published at the offices of election officers across all seven provinces.

The comprehensive breakdown of voters reveals a total of 549 individuals representing seven province assemblies, along with 1,498 voters from various local levels. The overall vote weightage, where one vote equals 53 votes, stands at 29,097 for province assemblies and 28,462 for local levels.

Specifically, Koshi Province contributes 93 votes, with 377 voters representing the combined roles of rural municipality chairs, vice-chairs, mayors, and deputy mayors.

Madhes Province boasts a total of 374 voters, including 107 province assembly members and 267 representatives from metropolises, sub-metropolises, municipalities, rural municipalities, mayors, deputy mayors, and chiefs and deputy chiefs of rural municipalities. The total vote weightage in Madhes Province is 5,571 from province assembly members and 5,073 from local level representatives.

In Bagmati Province, 347 voters are identified, with 110 province assembly members contributing to a total vote weightage of 10,333.

Gandaki Province accounts for 230 voters, with a total vote weightage of 6,410.

Lumbini Province features 305 voters, comprising 87 province assembly members and 218 rural municipality chairpersons and vice-chairpersons. The cumulative vote weightage in the province is 8,753.

Karnali Province has 40 province assembly members and 156 rural municipality chairpersons and vice-chairpersons, resulting in a total vote weightage of 5,084.

Sudurpaschim Province rounds out the list with 228 voters, including 52 province assembly members and 173 rural municipality chairpersons and vice-chairpersons. The total vote weightage in Sudurpaschim Province is 6,100.
